Agree …. And as long as they used them for short hops at lower altitudes sure they were ok . I’m looking at some photos of guys wearing them and thinking that if they flew above 12000 or 15000 feet then they had to wear fleece flight suits over the jackets because the temp at 10000 ft is about 23 FI don't think it really was meant to keep them warm. Like the A-2, it was basically just a windbreaker that could also keep the oil and grease off their clothes.
