I remember I considered buying it a few years ago, but never got around to it. I'd be interested to hear people's opinions as well.

I'm pretty sure I have that one packed away in my storage unit. IIRC it has some great images of originals.

Same here. At the time I had a friend who thought I was nuts for spending so much on books.

It's a bit obtuse- for instance- there aren't many jackets identified by label or characteristics- but part of the fun is trying to identify jackets by the photos.

I have this beautiful book. It's rich of pictures, lots of description but no information about contract of the A-2 shown.
And although there are hundreds of photos of original A-2s, I can't find those replicas that ELS, BK sell for example (those with nose art on the back).

I just order It today and I'm looking forward to get It home.
One minute later my wife came along and says "that book can be your birthday present"... Sounds nice but then I heard
"But then you are not aloud to look in it before" . Halo. My birthday is in the end of march.
And the book will come next week. Its going to be a looong February / March.
