I would want an exchange too, but I actually think I do see the phenomenon I was talking about on your jacket - Dubows were famous for making the pockets equidistant from the edge of the windflap, rather than from the zipper. As a result, the pockets frequently look like they aren't centered properly.

I find it strange that only 1 piece of the leather of a completely new jacket shrinks (and exactly 3.5 cm from top to bottom in the entire length) but anything can happen

I have seen new HH jacket shrink 1.5 cm to 2.5cm after four months wear, and six months storage.
