Too bad because it's not a real crasher because the visor is not single layer, I hope you didn't pay dearly for it

Good grief the old crusher debate again. Truth is ALOT of Air Corps guys wore double ply visors with grommet removed giving the crusher look. Enjoy the hell out of it. If it is identified to a AAF man great if not it could still have been worn by one. I have named and unnamed hats in my collection crushers and non crushers both styles attributed to guys who flew and fought in the air war in WWII. True the single ply visors seem to fetch more interest and hence a bit more value but I haven’t seen huge differences that would ruin your week if you shop carefully.
