I appreciate this thread being posted. It prompted me to act on a copy of the poster I previously posted.... Not accurate in paper-type / size to an original, but within my budget, and something nice to hang on the wall (click to enlarge):
I also ran across this 18"x 24" 'Keep Him Flying" poster, which looks quite nice, and IMO, is a steal for the clearance price of $5.98 USD (reduced from $24.99) for those who may be interested. Hell, I may even grab one myself.
some others at home - originals (the "Over The Top" is WW1) the wings Over American is a small version. I have a number of others stored in the closet (for the next house!!!!)
Wow, nice models!
The ceiling in my former children's room in my mother's house is still hung with hundreds of aircraft scale models that I did in my youth.
Here's my wall. The above mentioned recruiting poster in the middle, a painting called "Victory over Kent", and a Lichtenstein print. Below, there's a Spitfire plate, a 56 sqn @ Estrée-Blanche painting, a Christmas card from Alex Revell, and Geoffrey Wellum's letter. I know, a bit crowded
I ran across it on Pinterest some time back. I was happy to find that poster shop to make one for me at a good price today. I'm already scouting-out some wall space to hang it..
