It is goatskin. This is my first leather jacket, but from what I can tell the leather is good quality.Woaw such a nice leather ! is it goatskin ?
All the Christie's are goatskin (that's the milspec for it in the ADF)Woaw such a nice leather ! is it goatskin ?
I was going to pitch in and say "the epaulettes on mine were sewn down, I've never seen ANY Christie's made jackets with velcro'd straps.....but most of the ones I've seen were pre 2020"I picked up my new jacket from the post office today. It fits perfectly.

The leather quality seems good. The stitch work and metal pieces are decent as well.

The liner is great and the vintage-styled tag is nice.

The only surprise was the epaulets. I had read elsewhere that Christie's used velcro on the epaulet to allow rank tabs to be attached. On this jacket the epaulets are sewn on either end. The side closer the collar is box stitched, the sleeve side has a faux box stitch. This isn't a huge deal as the US Army rank tabs are designed to wrap around fully stitched epaulets, so this jacket will still work in uniform.

Overall I'm impressed with this jacket, especially at the $220 price point. I hope to get some good use out of this jacket in and out of uniform.
Why not take all the measurements, take some pictures and post it on VLJ’s buy and sell thread. Someone might be interested on it.That's who I ended up going with. I only found good reviews about their jackets, and the price was the best after the exchange rate. $275 + $70 for shipping (AUS) came out to about $220 US.
Unfortunately, even with their sizing check the first one I got was a little too short. I ordered a 38S initially, and the sleeves are about a half inch too short. I figured with some sleeve shrinkage as it breaks in this wouldn't work. I re-ordered a 38R which is in the mail now, hopefully its a good fit.
I looked into returning the 38S but the shipping back to Australia isn't worth it. USPS wants almost $100. I will probably list the 38S on ebay or something and re-sell it stateside.
