i had one of these w&g b-3s back in the early 80s, bought new from w&g when they had their store on mad ave in nyc. they may not be completely to "original" specs, but they are beautifully made, thick,, and nearly bullet proof. way better then any second tier b-3s made today, including lw, g&b, wpg, etc.
no, not overly engineered, and stiff as cardboard like a lw. the w&gs were properly tanned, and finished. they were pliant, yet thick, and heavy weight..also, as i remember, they were a little longer then todays repro b-3s. kinda like original hlb b-3s
