Thanks Thomas! Sadly, I rarely see these types of jackets nowadays. At least in my part of the country. Even with an Air Force base in the same city. The RW is only the second original A2 that I've run across in the wild, in the last 10-15 years.

The goatskin on that original rough wear looks really solid with cool patina so well worth the restoration.

As far as I can tell, it needs replacement knits

Just promise me to keep those original knits, maybe in a ziplock bag and store with the original Jacket if you decide they have to be replaced. I know they're in bad shape but they're still the originals, shame to toss them away is all. It's beauty Jacket man!!
