How he turns this stuff up I don't know. Perhaps he keeps the best items but I don't think I've ever seen any of his items with "history". Might be named but even though he claims many items were purchased from vets he, or his drivers, never ask for a story? These are all "estate" items but they are being sold for the estate of a collector? Not really what that term implies.
Cool stuff but strange way of moving historical items IMO.

the seller has a moving and storage co. in detroit. thus, he has access to a lot of items moved, and or stored. sometimes he has winners, sometimes not.
I've watched his auctions for years. He used to claim other methods as well - hotel buys, etc. If after this long he still sees no need to obtain at least minimal history of the pieces he sells................
American Pickers can't consistently find what they look for most but in the everyday pursuit of an honest business this guy consistently finds this primo stuff?
I know it's been discussed before so sorry for digging it up but it sure is fishy IMO.
I remember the recent repro A-2s that were also "estate finds".
an odd mix with this guy. I am sure some are legit and others are clearly not. I could swear I see jackets with original patches that have sold on eBay 6-12 months before his posting.
