David, I'm amazed you haven't seen this label before. ;) Anyway I've not seen it before either. When I first saw it I thought a relined issued A2, but this is not the sort of label that I have seen added by a USAAF depot.

I bet this label is something from the postwar surplus market done to get rid of the USAAF property marking found on issue labels. It was a big deal in the surplus industry back then to remove or blot out anything that might suggest the item was still government property. This printed label looks a lot like ones you see in surplus market Navy deck jackets as well.
