According to Sweeting's Combat Flying Clothing, the A-10 boot was an issue item, but 'turned out to be too impermeable to water vapor to be used successfully in the artic regions."

So given the photographic evidence, these boots are probably genuine, as no one in their right mind would reproduce such an item. . . then again, one cannot completely rule out some of the more esoteric Japanese repro manufacturers . . .
