I had horrible visions of something splitting when he zipped it up! I don’t think the odd bit of treatment would have harmed the authenticity-there won’t be much left to pass on to his kids if it gets too dried out. Probably unusual for a vet to know it was an A-2! Note the off-centre label. I bet the collector would have had the patch off if he’d sold it. Lovely old chap.
