Wow Burnsie, nice shots. I just read Jerome's post on the Fedora where he said he has seen "Heavan Sent"...a Bronco.

Looks like there's two Perrys and "Merchant of Menace" appears to be a 1756!

Thanks for the effort!

Glad you're enjoying them - I was hoping there'd be some "name that contract" since I'm not as expert as a lot of the VLJ crowd - here's one more I missed yesterday - squared off pockets say Aero...?

It might be an Aero. However it doesn't appear to have the zipper reinforcement stitching found on Aeros and the look of the hh reminds me of a Poughkeepsie. BTW great pics, thanks for sharing them here and on the FL.

In looking closely at the first A2 posted, I believe it to be a Star judging by the epaulets. The 18246 had its cross stitching contained between the lines while the Star did not. I am not talking about the bounding box line to quote acme depot.

I have just looked at my originals and agree its a Star, despite initially thinking its the no-name 42-18246.

Great photos. I am very tempted to paint the Merchant of Menace art on the back of a jacket - great stuff -thanks Burnsie

Cheers!
Merchant of Menace is a very cool one - well worth recreating! That jacket was there last year and though now in a different display I was glad to see it again, made quite an impression!

I was just down in Savannah this past weekend and saw the sign for the museum but was pushed for time and so didn't stop to check it out. I will next time I'm down there!

Great photos.

Well worth a visit - I've focused on jackets here (naturally!) but you could spend a whole day in the museum's library alone - it's huge and filled with 60 years of every kind of information, there are recreations of a European home and a POW camp, planes and too much on exhibit to take in on one visit...then there's the chapel, memorial gardens and pub! My missus has been a good sport twice now about being dragged along...
