uh that's true . my a2 looks brand newAlthough, why would you want an aged patch on a brand new jacket? Sure, they look cooler when they are aged, but that wouldn't be consistent, would it?
Good point, but I’m guessing that the patches would probably age at a slower rate the rest of the jacket. The reason I’m saying this is that the jacket has a much greater surface area than the patches and would get more wear spots over the surface of that area.Although, why would you want an aged patch on a brand new jacket? i did aged some cotton patches , never try aged learher patches , still figuring out how to do it .Good point, but I’m guessing that the patches would probably age at a slower rate the rest of the jacket. Another reason I’m guessing this is because patches really don’t come in contact with much today … not like they did on original jackets what with life vests and parachute harnesses so they would tend to look new for longer periods .
There are several guys here who are very accomplished artists and have techniques for aging leather. You might check with one of them .i did aged some cotton patches , never try aged learher patches , still figuring out how to do it .
