Guys, I’m looking for that photo of 2 sabre pilots wearing patched L-2as from the 334th FIS. I can’t find it anywhere…does anyone have it?

Quick question for anyone .
Looking at the photo above, the patch positions are reversed on the two jackets.
Were there any unit regulations or requirements regarding uniformity or could the patches be placed on the jacket at the wearers discretion?

In case someone here is in need of a small sized L-2A, there is a BR size XS / 34 currently listed on eBay for a low BIN price. I am assuming that this would be best for someone who typically wears a 38 short based on the measurements. I could barely pull off the shoulder and chest width, but the length is a deal breaker for me (23.5" long which also includes the collar, so closer to 22" - 22.5").

Mission complete. The stiching was a nightmare, both patches are incredibly thick and strong. It's also pretty wonky, but I guess it's period correct for a patch sewn on at K-13 in 1952. As for the position of the patches as pointed out by Burt, the decisive factor was the position of the oxygen mask tab, the 4th patch just didn't fit there.

Damn that looks like an original…..
Outstanding jacket…. Could you post some more photos and tell us a little about it ?
Thanks

There's not much to tell about burt. I bought this L2 from Bronson 2 or 3 years ago and always thought it would look great with a few period correct patches. So I researched a bit and found this attached photo, and after finding out that buzz reproduces that explicit 335th squad patch my decision was made - and voila!

That’s pretty cool .
I bought a set of the same patches about 2 years ago but just couldn’t bring myself to sew them on. ( I have a commitment problem I’ve been told! )But after seeing your jacket I’m all in with it . Thanks for pushing me off the fence.

When they had large sizes lately I couldn't resist, too.

Got the MA-1 and the WEP, and they are both superb for their prices. I will definitely get the L-2A, when they restock them.

Ties, yes, same:

MA-1, WEP and B-10 most recent. Agreed, WEP absolutely fantastic repo.

and yes, large sizes, actually, most of the jackets are cut larger than expected.

all great stuff, I am a huge Bronson fan

How often does Bronson typically restock their L-2 and L-2A jackets? I'd be interested in a size S/36 once they have any on hand.

I want to do exactly the same but I really adore this version but can’t seem to find any info about the colour of the knits, I know I could put olive khaki knits on but I don’t like it as much. Either way nearly £700 plus import costs is out of my comfort zone at the moment
