17 Years of hard wear

Ok. Yeah it may be then. I am not surprised that even veg tan can take that kind of wear and still look amazing. I mean after all I put mine through already it’s still soft and supple.

If the water soaked in rather quickly when you got your dog out then it’s definitely veg tanned.

Okay, you guys, since we're talking about jackets and the wear we've put on them, here is the only jacket that I've put a true patina on (my other patinas came with used jackets I bought on eBay). This is a Goodwear cowhide Dubow 27798 (according to JC) that I bought on eBay in, I think, 2013. It's been as close to a daily wearer as I can come (Central California and Southern Nevada climates are not very conducive to jacket wear). So this is it with five years of wear. I didn't think of a "before" picture, but the outdoor shot is the earliest pic I've got, and the indoor pic was taken just a few minutes ago.

Thanks. You are correct. Same jacket, but different patch and tags. I just didn't like that "Wright" patch from flightjacket.com...it looked too new, too modern...was out of place. Besides, the Transport Command patch more accurately reflects my USAF career.

Thanks a lot for sharing, Ken! That's what I dream of right now, having an A2 that I wear for over a decade. It does not make sense to repeatedly buy and sell since these high end jackets are made for life!

Bseal..I thought that Leather was used sometime ago certainly by John, I don’t know if it’s still used or wether the Leather suppliers have also moved with the times like the companies that use it, hope that makes sense?

There's a little left in Brown and we've decent stocks of Color#8 / Cordovan

This is my Dustbowl in the same leather.........well used and fairly abused, it's what I've been wearing this week as the weather has turned a bit Scottish again
