WW2 crusher cap?

Probably post WW2 vintage. It would have gone with the tropical wool Class A's, which enlisted were not yet allowed. For summer they had only their suntans (no blouse*) and garrison cap.

*Before WW2, Army enlisted in tropical areas had a khaki 4-pocket blouse. I forget whether a saucer cap went with it. I know I've seen it with campaign hats. No, I have no pictures.
