Vintage (1940's) CAP private purchase flight jacket

Interesting vintage (1940's) CAP private purchase "flight jacket", which I am in the process of purchasing.
Of course its not a true flight jacket just a civilian wind breaker but it's CAP badged with s sleeve patch...so good chance it was worn while "on duty" (in the cockpit).
The shoulderstrap button are (besides the patch) pretty solid proof that it was used by this semi-military organization. Wonder if its an official regulation item?

It appears that the shoulder straps, with CAP in contrasting colors
(removable? note button) are missing...

This shirt is offered with the lot that I'm buying...
A WW2 pattern from the same person it states...
The patch with the red tab was introduced in November 1944.
Prior to that date no red tab... just the circular sleeve patch
and an even earlier pattern (prewar-early war) ommitted the "US" embroidery.

True! good point!
An open collar, tan cotton color, half belt, handwarmer pockets, buttoned front (C.A.P. jacket = concealed), general style/cut are all M41 traits indeed.

and the back of a standard Army M41 (compare with C.A.P. jacket)

Note 1/2 belt back just like a G-1

Here a period ww2 image (note back panel with 1/2belt) of CAP pilots with similar light weight tan jackets in wear
(possibly standard M41 Parson's field jackets...)
