Here is the late WW II version of VBF-85/VF-85.
This one is just postwar, and is a decal rather than a patch. These decals were larger than the patches, and used on the sides of planes and on plaques. I am not sure if this unit had an actual patch in WW II, and if they did, if it had "Sky Pirates" under the design.

VBF-85 and VF-85 both used the same emblem for their units

Most of the patches on this jacket are Korean War era, including the VF-85/VBF85, which like the name tag, looks to be Japanese made.shedonwanna said:Here is a jacket from 1945 with the patch.
