I have a feeling part of it was due to the construction being the same as the 23rd FG patch. The Tiger was the same as was the backing leather and trim. This patch and the chits may have belonged to a pilot of the 23rd Fighter Group. Maybe he spilled the info privately to a few bidders. I only speculate due to the high prices of this patch and his chits. There has to be some reason they all went big!?

I had good vibes on this, odd variation using the 23rd FG tiger, the leathers and paint look like they aged the same as the 23rd FG examples. Definitely made by the same artist.
