May be the ugliest cap I've ever seen.
The seller believes it's original as the starting price is $800.
It might be original but without any provenance or original picture, who would spend so much ?

Any taker for creating a new kind of repro ?

Cheers,
Tim

I like it; however, it must be hot as the devil. Wonder if they used an old jacket to make it? Field made? maybe but looks too new

I also like the concept, but the crown section does seem rather well-preserved for its presumed age. That said, I can totally picture such a cap being worn in the colder climates. With a fur-collared jacket and headset the aviator would probably be very comfortable--and stylish, too. :D
