I watched this yesterday and just thought it may be of interest as it explains how and when headgear become a thing for early pilots, I thought it was just to keep your head warm but apparently not.

Seconded. If you have been onboard old wooden yachts the deckhead is low, usually with big beams projecting below. Full disclosure, ex owner of a 1939 wooden double ender.

... but wasn't it Clément Ader who made the first motorized flight ? 13 years before the Wright brothers, who took off with a catapult.

Technically, the Wrights Bros. were the first to achieve manned, powered, and controllable flight. All three elements. The documentary only mentions two aspects.
