The 7448J L-2B ... with sage lining

Are these uncommon? No? ... Ah well, maybe I just haven't noticed them.

It's from the last L-2B contract, which reverted to the green lining. I have orange lined, RNZAF issued examples, from the 1978 contract ... this one was RNZAF issued in 1979, but has remained in the box from Alpha, until now.

Interesting, David! I've seen orange-lined '78s but never this one. I also recall our discussion of a green-lined jacket that was produced more recently under the name of "Jacket, Man's, Utility, L-2B" or something similar. Wasn't that a 7448K?

Yes, that's the much later SPO 100-94-C-1992 contract. Although some Japanese lists incorrectly record the 1979 contract as a K, Full Gear lists it as the last of the 7448J L-2B's, and notes ... 1 Feb. 1979 (sage green lining)
