Star Sportswear G-1 possibly?

Snagged a pretty salty G-1 for a very nice price today...Definitely goat, definitely mouton collar, "USN" punched into the wind flap, and of course...a couple white paint spots. (WHAT is it with white paint and G1s??)
Needs a GOOD cleaning (smells like an actual goat) and a thorough conditioning, the cuffs need replacing( which are on their way as I type this), and the brass zipper needs some TLC...

...Just, no label. Not a deal breaker for me, i figure thats why i got such a great deal on it. Everything points, to my eyes at least, to a pre 69-70 Star. Anybody with a more trained eye out there who would care to shed some light on this?

The zipper pull has a "G" on it, and no other markings that I can find...if that helps.

Hand washed with a little Murphys oil soap and a lot of water, a good coat of my homemade conditioner and left to sit overnight, 10-15 min buffing with an old cotton bath towel....yeah, think it's a keeper.

You could very well be correct on that, appreciate the info!

The pull probably isn't a replacement, as I've seen this exact one on other Stars...but unfortunately, I think it's gonna need replacing anyway. The teeth don't come together when it's zipped up, so most likely just worn down inside.

Agreed with the above. As to what company made it...no clue. Pretty sure by the time we get to '69-70, all the makers have a pattern they're instructed to follow, so there isn't much of a way to tell them apart like there was in earlier decades.
