You'd have to be bonkers to buy off FB, or actually know who was selling it. I wouldn't buy a jacket secondhand apart from on here now. I bought one once on Le Salon du Chapeau but that was yonks ago, not so sure I'd even trust there now (not that I hang around there anyway).

Shocking how many con artists are around the flight jacket scene now. I suppose with the big prices this stuff commands now, the crooks want in on the action.

Most recent experiences I’ve had when trying to buy on FB have been scams. Thankfully I’ve not parted with any $$$$. Contacted FB about it and funnily enough Meta haven’t replied.

Outside of vintage wear I ride & drive Italian vehicles and it’s the used market for vehicle parts where the scammers have just joined the action. Poorly constructed profiles are the give away usually.
