Ranier Wilke's Jacket

While perusing some article's on the helicopter acrobatics I came across this picture of the pilot and a pretty snappy looking leather flight jacket. Anyone have any idea's on it. German issue or private purchase?
*edit* the more I look at it, it looks kinda like an A-1 with a snapping zipper, regular collar and a sleeve pocket. Which doesn't make it an A-1 at all I like the drape too, like a goat or a cape skin

Yup. That's a nice jacket. Very much vintage inspired. Don't like the handwarmer pockets though.
