I think it would look better without fur on the collar. Retro for sure! I always thought those jackets looked like a cow camouflage. Like you blend right in in a herd. Cool vintage repro though!
I’ve never understood the appeal of this style, but I agree with the previous comments about the collar: ‘less is more’ if you can apply this to a grizzly!
I know beauty is subjective and all that, but from this subjective that's hideous. Looks like the bastard offspring of a 70s porn star's jacket and a goat. Sorry.
First thing..Don't mess with it you'll destroy the value.
The Value? Now there's a wierd thing.
Back in the 70s/80s while bringing vintage leathers over from USA we'd amassed over a dozen of these, we couldn't shift them at any price. Just before we sold The Thrift Shop we cleared them all to Billy Murphy (American Classics) at £20 a piece, (A deal I was really delighted with as the lad who bought the Thrift Shop had worked in the shop for years, obviously didn't want them)
3 or 4 years later I was back down in London and, lo and behold, visited AC and every single one was still hanging there unsold.
Sometime between then and now Grizzly's became one of the most valuable of all 30s vintage leathers. How did that happen?
The protection of the grizzlies since the 70s has perhaps given the hide an underground elite status. Like ivory, for example, despite what demand for it will do, there will always be a few who think it's a status symbol.

what, fur on the collar? dont. grizzlys are not my thing, and as rule i think most are kinda hideous. however, the one in the pix is rather unique, and has an unusual appeal. i kinda like this one. and dont fuck with it!
I agree with the comments made by most here, Grizzlies aren't for me. Take those pictures over to the Hat Place and I'm sure you'll get all sorts of love and affection for it. Different forum, different opinions. If it's your thing, go for it and enjoy.
They did make them with fur collars, but that was with shearling body fur as well, designed to be a very warm jacket for bikers. This is (literally!) a completely different animal. I can’t say I go a bunch on them either, but I bet you’d be glad of one out on the road on your Indian in the Winter.
