NOS CALIFORNIA SPORTSWEAR COMPANY TYPE G-1 FLYING JACKET MIL-J-7823 (AER)

In my experience, this is one of the rarest makers from the spec 7823; the California Sportswear Company only had one contract awarded in fiscal year, 1960.

This is a NOS example, which is amazing considering it is over 60 years old.

All parts are original to the jacket and it still retains its cutter tag inside the front pocket.

Leather is superb and soft. Mouton collar is immaculate and has that rusty shade.
Knits are solid and flawless which is super rare even on deadstock examples. Zippers and snaps are mint.

As I always say, nothing beats original!

Yes, they run large, I might take some fit pics later. It fits me decently, being a 36.
