leather name strip

I'd planning on wearing my A-2 to the airshow this weekend. I've removed the ratty velcro, but I haven't had a chance to get the leather name strip properly sewn on. Can I use rubber glue to temporarily affix my name strip, and remove it without damage to the leather underneath? Thanks.

Unless you are happy to use Blu-Tack, I don't think it's worth the risk.

Agree I would not recommend putting it on.
