Korean War era hats?

Just re-watched MASH the movie and noticed a lot of charicters men and women wearing bucket style hats with a rounded crown. Where these US standard issue back then? Some Hollywood thing? What were they called and are there reproductions to be had?

Are you seeing the Daisy May? Army issue hat with a full brim that was more prominent in early WW2, but still around through the war. Lotta the nurses had them in both the movie and TV show.

But if you mean Hawkeye's, his was a civilian hunter's cap with that frogskin camo.

But Alda wore a Daisy May in some of the first TV episodes -- I think they were trying to replicate the movie cap.

Pretty sure WW2 Impressions makes a repro Daisy May. Can't remember if At the Front makes one.
