I am almost positive it is a Knopf 42-18246. The bare metal nickel snaps and the way the epaulets have the top and bottom pieces folded at the ends. But I've been wrong before ;)

The jacket is made of goatskin, which rules out most makers. The ring snaps, collar and pocket shape might suggest Cable. The jacket does not have the elongated box stitching on the epaulets which is seen on most Cable A2s. They did make civilian jackets and it could be such a jacket. BTW the no name 18246 was made exclusively in hh and had a very small section of box stitching on the epaulet. All Perry A2s had collar stands, which this jacket does not have. It has been relined and the waistband is a civi style replacement. The Deco Talon zip appears original and is quite unusual for c.1942 A2s.

Apart from those features common to all A2s the only thing this jacket has in common with one Perry contract is the goatskin!

It really is a bit of an enigma as it is not 100% in keeping with the house features of any one USAAF contractor.
