Help ID The Age? 96th FS Patch... Original Theater Made?

Can anyone help me ID the age of this patch and help me through the reasoning.

looks like one of those repros from Pakistan circa 1980's. They used that thick thread that was supposed to resemble "vintage".

Its a nice look patch though.

Agreed. Not a real one. I was very active with the 82nd fighter group association a few years back. I used to have 5 original A-2 jackets to different P-38 pilots that flew with various squadrons of the 82nd Fighter Group. Most of their patches were made of leather, incised (tooled) and painted. I have seen a couple original embroidered (Italian made) 95th and 96th fighter squadron patches though.
