  • My experience has been that the top coat shows rapid initial wear and then just settles down. The undercoat on this jacket in particular seems to burnish off nicely to a rich russet colour.

Honest wear, but Bevan does have a reputation for not mollycoddling. ;)

Love the jacket but hmm.... those knits to my mind make it look like a commercial copy, sorry I cant get my head around those and call me a traditionalist, but why that colour?
Looks like they were to match the PTO crusher,uniform etc!! Still a nice A2 though.

The knits on original 1933 Werbers were a tan colour as is shown on the original on the ELC site. The knits on Bevan's Werber appear to be similar to originals in the later pic on page 1 of this thread and perhaps the colour in the first pics is not accurate.
