Doing some filing etc and came across some info ELC sent me in 1986, pretty early I think in their history.
They sent me 2 'photos' and 2 leather samples being mid brown and antique brown rather than russet or seal although the variation between them isn't as obvious as we normally expect now but the prices dependent on
size and colour - £127-147!!! Not sure how to compare then and now pricing but 30 years on and were almost adding a '0' on now.
Happy days when I got my first repro I must admit, still got it today.
    Cheers

This is fascinating Wayne. You can't even buy a second hand Eastman jacket for these prices!LOL Times have certainly changed!

My first ELC house A-2 cost me £250 in 1997. I'd have to do some serious saving to afford one now.

Living in Cornwall you could have driven to Devon and collected it, saving postage! I've actually re-discovered what I think was ELCs real attempt at a brochure or rather a pocket folder with separate inserts for each jacket they made - no price list but it does have a great samples card with little squares of leather, shearling, linings and knits. Also a leaflet of patches and insignia etc - anyone else here have one?
    Cheers

I did! Ivybridge is only just over an hour from me. I went to the factory and got measured for it, then went back to collect it when it was ready. And yes, I've still got that folder with the hide samples-it was the catalogue they were using at the time.
