Donald Duck patch...original and copy

Hi,

Marcel came up with a commission to make this Donald Duck patch. I am not really sure what squadron it is, but maybe something like photo recon or combat camera...

The original design was on a felt / embroidered patch, so the details were basic. I have played with it for a little while and decided to add more details to the film strip, the camera and Donald's face plus goggles.

the emblem is actually the 5th Photographic Technical Squadron,formed out of Will Rogers Field 1943,and was a mass photo production Labfor the theatre of out around New Guinea-Philipines-Leyte-Luzon-and finally the Mariannas.

They did work for the USAAF/USN all the way up to AF HQ.
