Great photos Marcel but so many beautiful aircraft destroyed. Concerning the ME262 in Japan, apparently several of these jets were shipped to Japan for evaluation inside U-Boats. This is the first photo I've seen to back this up. Very interesting.

I believe the Japanese actually had their own version built after delivery of a few ME-262s to evaluate. Can't remember the Japanese designation on them, but there is some slight variations to the Japanese version. The one pictured is the Japanese version as you can see from the larger and less streamlined tail section compared to the 262s.

These are brilliant, thanks Marcel. There must have been thousands of pristine Luftwaffe aircraft fortunately made useless by the shortage of fuel.

Well done Marcel, thanks once again. A fascinating set of images. It's interesting to see how far advanced the Luftwaffe were with their jet propelled technology in comparison to the Allies. The experimental aircraft looks rather nasty to say the least.
