Boot sole/tread protectors

Hi all, my Lone Wolf Engineer boots (absolutely amazing with an A-2 or Ostmann jacket!) were built with Cats Paw treads. After almost a year of light use, they seem to show quite a bit of wear. I see a few products out there claiming to minimize this, any suggestions from Forum members as to the best choice? Many thanks in advance!

I tried rubber blakeys....they wore away within a month....the nails remained
Unless you use metal blakeys I'm not sure anything can stop the wear.

Steel toe (lulu) plates. Make sure you find a good cobbler to do this neatly.
