Anyone has any idea what is this jacket worn by Mel Gibson in the subj. film ?

Very hard to tell from the fragment here! The long rectagular box stitching on the epaulet and the collar shape reminds me of the no name 27753 jacket, but if a repro it could be anyone of several makes.

Don't think it's military-a quick glance at a trailer on IMDB clearly shows two snaps at the bottom of the zip. No close-ups, but several shots show what looks like a pale silk-ish lining which could be Avirex's infamous escape map. There are a heck of a lot of films around with A-2 copies in them, especially around the time this was made.

Yep, that's a frame grab from the same trailer I saw I think. Snaps on zip clearly visible.
