Best current 5* A-2

Since this is about the "best" 5* A-2's.

I ordered the DUBOW 27798 A-2 in goatskin a few months ago.

Some of the pics below were posted in other topic, but added a few ( got what creative in some for IG  ) but you get the idea.
This is by far the most comfy jacket I own. For me, fit is perfect and in general, quality build and leather are great.
The arms are not the tightest, but to say these are baggy arms, does not bother me a bit.

So I someone would ask, what's the best 5*? this one is a candidate.
Jacket s a few days old here in the photos.

Size 44 with an inch added to back length.

That’s a good looking jacket .
What made you decide to add the extra inch in the back ? Smart move for sure .
Thanks
First A-2 I ordered at 5* was a seal1939 Werner Sportswear.
Length was spot on, so ordered same length on the Dubow, because I HATE jackets that are off in length or short sleeved.

Yep .. same here … it took me a couple of different jackets but eventually I figured out my best measurements for an A2 and now I judge every jacket I consider purchasing by those measurements. No more mistakes , no more resales .

Hi folks,

I'm not going to start an new topic for this one simple question:

What patterns A-2 does 5* copy from an original jacket?
I know they do have the Dubow 27798 and happy with that one, but not 100% sure what other A-2's they offer where they do have an original one in their possession.
Looking to add a new HH for this spring.
Thanks.

contracts where Shawn was able to examine an original:
Dubow 27798
Rough Wear 27752
Poughkeepsie
Star Sportswear

Their United Sheeplined pattern was taken using VERY detailed photos that I sent them, but Shawn did not examine it in person.

Also consider the inaccuracy of the labels.

The best are;
Doniger is good but needs correct size tag.
Dubow 20960 is good but needs size tag stitched to lining.
RW 27752 is goodish

That's Fivestar for you... email these guys and within the hour you have a reply...

HH options available and that reddish brown sure looks nice..
and so does the v(w)isky, and the pull up.
Or de steer in reddish brown below

Seal and black are not an option, I have a black civi jacket.

A poughkeepsie in that reddish brown , might be a winner.
