Didn't think LRDG and SAS were one and the same.

I think the LRDG were used by the SAS in the early days to get them to targets, before they adopted the raiding technique with Jeeps and after they abandoned parachute drops to locations. I wouldn't be suprised if there was some movement between them though, especially as the theatre of operations moved towards Europe.
