555th ASG

Whats up everyone! So as I've been researching my grandfathers service, I came across a photo of a patch I'm looking for more information on. He was in the 555th ASG. I've been working with a couple of WW2 historians, trying to track the service but there isn't much of anything out there on it. Basically what I have below:

• Activated 18 Oct 44, ATSCTC, Fresno, CA
• Stationed at:
  • ATSCTC, Fresno, CA
  • Selfridge, MI
  • Bluethenthal Fld, NC
  • Barksdale Field, LA
  • Vancouver Barracks, WA
  • Seattle POE, WA
• Departed Seattle POE 15 Jun 45
• Arrived Eniwetok 20 Jun 45
• Arrived Iwo Jima 8 Jul 45

I have about 20 pics that my grandfather took while he was on Iwo Jima. Above the movie theater is their patch, but its not too clear. I was hoping someone here could help me track it down and find more info on it. In addition I think I'm going to have a leather one made if we can find the colors, etc of it. and put on an A2 to wear.
