Came across this auction for a "1963 Brill Bros" G1;
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1963-VIETNAM-ER ... 7896248%26
As I understand it, Brill Bros. didn't get into the G1 military contracts until the late 60's, with series MIL.J-78223D.
The Brill Bros. jackets I've seen from that series have a black label with white thread that shows the series number as do jackets from earlier G1 series ......not a small white label as shown here.
Then there is the collar. Looks synthetic rather than natural mouton. Back in 1963 the G1 manufacturers were still using mouton.
The seller claims; "The Tag Reads: Jacket, Flyers, Leather: Size 40: Brill Bros. Inc.: NSN 8415-00-268-7799 (this number was created on January 1st, 1963): DLA100-87-C-0739".
I am not familiar with these numbers/aware they showed the year of manufacture.
Am I completely off base here...or is the seller?
