Yep, will get to see NYC while hunting down a jacket. Thanks for the reply, I'll add those spots to the list. I've googled, but I thought the local guys might have insider info. Edit - we're staying near Chinatown for some of the time, will check out the Church St store then.

Good places to shop for vintage jackets in New York city?

Hi everybody, I enjoy reading all the info on this site and have learnt a lot. My girlfriend and I are heading to NYC for a few days in June, and I would like to pick up a jacket while I'm there. I'm after a G1, not too concerned about labels but I would prefer a pre-loved one for the patina...

    Fury Jacket

Sorry to be that guy, but it's 'courageous'.

    Aeronaut

For what it's worth, I did something similar with a white shirt by the fire a few years ago. I hung it outside in the hot Aussie sun and the burns were bleached out after a few days.

    Spearhead Militaria woollen 'A-1' (Large)

It almost looks like a reversible Tanker jacket.

Do you prefer the G-1 over the A-2?

Hi everyone, this is my first post - I didn't see an intro section so I hope it's ok jumping in. For what it's worth, I prefer the G1/M422/ANJ3 styling over the A2; I prefer the way the bi-swing/strap back looks as opposed to the flat expanse of the A2 back. I hope that's not blasphemy here.
