These are great photos for comparing the two. Thanks for posting them! The difference in pocket spacing and sleeve taper jumps out immediately. I don't know if one is more accurate to this contract than the other, but I do prefer the look of the GW's. The hides on both are really nice.
Seems like the comfort factor with respect to square vs. sloping shoulders is hardly ever addressed on this forum. My shoulders are quite sloping and I find that square-shoulderd patterns tend to feel tight and uncomfortable because the armholes end up being too high relative to my armpits...

Couple of quick questions:
1. Can you reveal the original jacket pattern that Mr. C based it on?
2. Did you request extra taper in the body, or did the jacket it's based on have that much?
That collar sure looks 18091-ish to me. Epaulet looks like it could be RW, too.
Also looks like it might be goat, which could further support 18091, but the resolution on my monitor isn't good enough to tell for sure. Anyone care to venture a guess on the hide?

Any idea which pattern JC's new A-1 is going to be based on? I know the earlier ones were based on a Dubow (assume 27798, but I'm not sure).
Glad to hear he's got more capeskin coming. It will be interesting to see if it differs much from his "old" cape.
