I got these two layer rib rack knits installed by Taylor's of Tennessee. Does anyone know if AVI or Five Star has the two layer knits available? I think the single layer is historically accurate but honestly I prefer the weight of two layers. Thanks

Looking for input from anyone approximately my size that has purchased a Five Star G-1. I'm interested in the Cagleco G-1 variant. My info is: 5'11" and 200 lbs, chest 42". I have another jacket that I like, with the following dimensions: armpit to armpit 23" sleeves 27" incl knits back 27"...

Has anyone ever racked up a list of countries that issued a G-1 type jacket other than US? Seems like I've seen examples from Canada and possibly Argentina?? Or were these "unofficial." Tom

Group, I saw the T-Birds today and they were great. It was cool so the jocks were wearing their A-2s. Man did they look awful. And I'm no premium snob. They were very dark in color, the collars were thin, the knits didn't match and worst of all they were way too generous around the waist...

I think the error was mine. Sorry! The pic is obviously correct and I had a correct pic also in my files. I made a typing error. Tom

I am wearing one with a plain collar and it is holding up fine. A bit too light for motorcycle though. I use a vintage G-1 for that. Tom

rgrahm, I'm impressed by your photos (I guess they are yours). I bought one of the G-1's from Orchard and it appeared to have a barb wire scar on the skin. So mine was from an animal (of some sort, maybe llama or something!). Tom

I got one of the $119 Orchard G-1's. It's not a premium G-1. For one the collar hanger is sewn to the lining with no doubler (I'm going to move it). Looking for a reason to hate. A couple of reasons I can't hate is the the mouton is beautiful, the color is great, the smell is awesome and...

I wrote that part of the Wiki. You should see the contract list elsewhere here to get the picture on Brill contracts as I know them. I was attempting to bracket their supply dates. Tom

I sold a Cooper real/goat G-1 to a Marine pilot this week. He was VERY unhappy with his issued Excelled jacket and said many of his peers have bought their own G-1s. Tom
