You get what you pay for. The ELC Werber is one of the finest repro A-2's out there.
Are the pocket fasteners still „ELC“ marked instead of „United Carr“ like in other prime makers A-2‘s.
But the ELC jacket comes with a Hookless (R) zipper! You can't buy one anywhere else!!
And the ELC Werber is the 1933 contract. Can't really compare it to a similarly priced US Werber...
Congrats, please feel free to ask arround here about this subject.FWIW, I've had no problems with the knits on my ELC Werber or HLB.

I had... so did others... but OK, happy if others are not having this issue.
OK, so I was probably the only one and misread a few posts here. Apologies.Never had an issue on any ELC knits in 20 years..
Can only agree! All good. Obviously a few passive aggressive jibes at a great ELC jacket that has been reintroduced.
You could wear out a couple of sets of ELC knits in the time it takes you to get your preferred 'high end' Werber sorted.
But you don’t wear most of your collection and those you do wear, not often due to climate Couchy.Never had an issue on any ELC knits in 20 years..
