real cool guy... this is his answer

Hello, Marcel.
Thanks for your email. Honestly, we have been perplexed by this patch as well. We were in discussions with the previous owner of this lot and he had purchased all this from the family directly. The family didn't have too many details as they all said Loyal Paradis was a bit hush hush about his time in the service. His son seemed to think he may have had some involvement in the final bombing raids in Japan - however, we found no certain evidence of that in the documents.
Here's what we did find while digging through all the paperwork inside this lot:
1944 graduating documents from Santa Ana, California.
April 12th 1945 - Official order from Roswell Army Air Field, Paradis was involved in crew #3042 though we found no Bombardment Squad listing in these documents...
April 10th 1947 - Paradis was listed as part of crew #807 of the 718th Bombardment Squad
May 1948 - 327th Bomb Squad is referenced.
Most of the Bombardment Grouping references were for the 92nd Bombardment group in squad #327. His field notes reference his training flying B-29s.
I don't know how much this helps, seems a little vague at times. This really is a great lot.
