Dark seal leather and russet knits sewn with green thread were not features of this 1938 Aero contract. John normally does not deviate from an original contract in this way.

I can only surmise that the customer asked for this, as you are right JC rarely goes this far afield in the details.... I did find it interesting that the guy claims it has deadstock zippers... first off where is the second zipper... and secondly they are only deadstock if Waldes has gone out of business this week, which I cannot swear has not happened, but I hope I got my new order before they did!!

I do go back to the customer MUST have asked for this, as I don't see John putting on the red knits out of some sense of mischief!

Wish him luck. I could not get an offer above $650 on my GW USL. Will wait until the retail hits
$2000 and try again. So much for an investment...

The listing mentions two 'earlier wartime' contracts. Interesting, since this contract was from before WWII!

Looks like he simply copied and pasted text from the Goodwear website on the 18775 contract.
