What years did Dubow make a B3 shearling jacket? Thinking 1980’s?

Seems all they sell now are A2’s. They did offer B3 type jackets years ago. Looking for any specifics you have to share

Let me clarify . I saw a Dubow B3 type shearling jacket on eBay recently . Just wondered about it’s provenance. I’m not suggesting any connection with Lost Worlds or any other company. I know the company today is not the company of multiple decades ago. I did understand that years and years ago they made jackets for other leather purveyors

Lost Worlds makes/made a lot of different jacket under the Dubow label. Platon's Dubow is an altogether different enterprise that started up about 2-3 years ago. The B-3 you saw was almost certainly a Lost Worlds jacket.

I don't think Dubow made a WW2 B3

lever is correct. dubow did not make any b-3s during wwll. the b-3 you saw was a lost worlds made jacket. I had one, purchased new in the early 90s, and found that ultimately, it was unwearable due to the fact that it was stiff like a straight jacket, or iron lung. btw, stu made a couple samples of red skin b-3s and although they looked beautiful, they were made with the same super stiff shearling.

The original J.A. Dubow went out of business in the 60’s I believe. The only company who made a B-3 using the Dubow label is Lost Worlds. The J. A. Dubow that’s in business now is an offshoot of Bill Kelso, in Greece.

A direct link to LW shows this:

I have to admit that I am not too convinced by that one. Too light, crotch-curly fur for my taste...

And be prepared: As Stu says "These jackets are not for everyone!" Are they too heavy, then it's only because you are too weak...

The only "Dubow B-3 Type" on Ebay at the moment is this one:

Speaking of too light-colored fur...

That's an odd one. Pretty much bog-standard mall jacket, handwarmer pockets and all, yet with a Dubow label. Curiouser and curiouser.

holy shit! if I got the link right, that thing on eb is not beast or fowl, and certainly not anything made by lost worlds. Dubow on the label? bleh. I thing that thing on eb looks to be a Macys special or mens outlet special sale.. don't bother unless ya want to be the laughing stock of the reutasan parking lot.

Not to worry . I didn’t buy that one. I bought another one that was on eBay.
