The trousers are fine as part of an Irvin suit, the jacket....?! I have to say that I have serious issues with many flying jackets this seller sells on eBay, he's tried that old chestnut about USAAF jackets coming from local farms etc playing on his location near Stansted but seldom backs it up with any real substance, other items of militaria over the years have been 'suspect' too, I personally wouldn't bid on what I've seen in the past but maybe he only describes what someone else has told him and is ignorant to true detail, just my opinion but I've heard similar comments from other collectors too..

I would agree with Paul about the seller. The jacket is a 1939 IAC electrically wired Irvin that has had the leather skirt added perhaps post War by a motor bike rider. It looks a mess IMO. :roll:
